Keeping My New Kitchen Relevant 2020
Another Chrissy Marie Blog kitchen favorite – and one I almost didn’t write – was discussing kitchen trends of 2020, and what tweaks made to our almost new kitchen to keep it relevant.
One of those changes was the move from nickel to brass hardware! I hesitated because we chose stainless steel appliances and nickel faucet. However, I now can’t believe I waited so long to make the switch, when I already had so much brass around anyways.

I think I talked up getting the Frame TV for months so I did hype up this post quite a bit! But if you ever thought about this TV, my Frame TV review post is a great read! It includes details on how to get (almost free) art onto your Frame.
Favorite Home Improvement Project on Chrissy Marie Blog
Painting bathroom cabinets, like our plain white vanity Hale Navy, was your favorite tutorial of the year. It ended up being my favorite as well because I love my bathroom so much more now! See more before and afters, and read the how to paint your bathroom vanity here.
Another DIY post you will like is how to hang traditional wallpaper. I shared how I installed this black and white wallpaper in my bedroom in just one afternoon/evening. Now why is it nobody tells you hanging this stuff (can be) easy? Just because its traditional paper doesn’t mean you need to hire it out!

Favorite Chrissy Marie Blog Room Makeover: Our Playroom
And speaking of before and afters, we reconfigured our playroom last spring on a total whim and it’s a reader favorite! I think a lot of you are looking for ideas on how to make the furniture not revolve around the TV.

Using Bluestone For Your Patio
I shared details on the cost and completion of installing a bluestone patio in our backyard. Many of you did the same thing in your yard and sent me photos. I love seeing photos of the pretty stone used to create beautiful outdoor areas!

Top 2 Best Seller Buys for 2020
1. My Linen + Custom Looking Pinch Pleat Drapes
These drapes are so beautiful – they are the best price I have found for pinch pleat drapes anywhere. I bought the white lined option and have them in my bedroom and our living room. (Pinch pleat is what the top style of the drape is called – a style many interior designers use on their client’s custom drapes).
2. Full, Thick and Heavy Down Pillow Inserts
I love a great quality pillow- and I am so so happy with these inserts! I have compared these on my Instagram a few times next to inserts from other stores like Pottery Barn. These never slump on me.
Obviously they aren’t cheap, although I do find you really get what you pay for with those. As an affordable alternative – I find these inserts from Amazon to be pretty good and I have a few of them in my pillows. Although not nearly as substantial, they do the trick and are a great price!
3. Sleeping Pillows
The 3rd bestseller of 2020 as a sleeping pillow. This wouldn’t helpful if I didn’t mention both – the first pillow has a cult following and is filled with memory foam that you can actually adjust! It is the only pillow my husband can sleep on at this point.
The second pillow is for those that need a high quality down pillow. I sleep on these because as silly as it sounds, I can only rest comfortably on feathers.
