With supply chain delays going on across every industry – furniture lead times are stinging anyone furnishing a home! My husband and I have had many late night conversations deciding between investing in quality furniture that might arrive next year, or finding something “okay” in store that fills a basic need.

One thing we do agree on is we want to buy pieces for our home intentionally – but if it takes 4 months to decide on the perfect light, we might wait another 8 months for its’ arrival! That’s too slow.

Serena & Lily Sutter Quilt

I used the Availability Filter to find fresh bedding for our bed, and I was thrilled to see the Serena & Lily Sutter quilt was a quick ship item. The box was left on my doorstep within days!

If you’re a long time reader you might be saying – but wait, you already owed the Sutter quilt already! Yes, it’s true, but it was a queen size – and because I loved it I kept using it on my bed. With a fresh start in a new home I wanted the correct size. I gave my oldest daughter the queen size quilt (for her queen bed), and was delighted to order and receive the king size Sutter quilt a few days later.

We adore this quilt! Which of course is why I wanted to buy it again. It washes well, and with linen on one side and cotton on the other, it gets softer with each washing.

If you still have kids in the bed, I’ve had great luck washing this quilt clean. Someone got toothpaste on ours just this week! But it all comes out with a few sprays of stain remover in a cold wash. 

The queen size Sutter quilt is now in my daughter’s room, above. We are still waiting on lots of pieces for all of these rooms – nothing is finished – but gosh I love that quilt!

I used the availability filter yet again when we picked out the lighting for Leo’s bedroom, our 7 year old.

I filtered the search results to find a Serena & Lily basket light that would ship quickly. We easily found the darling Avila Pendant; in stock with an arrival date of 2 weeks! We did the small version of this light which is perfect for his cozy bedroom. The basket light is such a fun choice for a child’s room. Pattern is always a good idea in a kid’s space!
