Practically since the day her little sister Camille was born, Sofia has been asking for a girls’ shared bedroom with bunk beds. I always gave her the ol “one day” answer that parents say when they really mean go away. 😉 Fastforward 2.5 years, and move in day was like Christmas Day for Sofia. I just plunked their old furniture in… View Post
While in the process of designing our home, I knew I wanted to switch it up and create a classic black and white bathroom. After decorating the majority of our home with white on white, or wood and white, I was ready for some contrast and darker tones! You might like my patterned tile bathroom post. See it here! The Classic… View Post
Out Southern Front Porch Instead of just showing you photos of our southern front porch I thought I’d answer some of our most frequently asked questions I get about our porch! A few days ago I reached out to you on instagram and asked if anyone wanted to throw any questions out, and y’all were amazing and gave me all… View Post
If you are wondering if taking off removable wallpaper will damage your paint, read on for my experience. The wallpaper came down last week. We had water damage in our home over the winter of 2018. We had to replace the trim piece around the floor, and when removing the trim, the bottom part of some portions of the wallpaper… View Post
Our navy dining room is officially open for business! And it only took 16 months after move in day! Navy Dining Room Reveal When our builder mentioned dining rooms were becoming less common, I still wanted to go for it. Checking in here, week 4 of the One Room Challenge Updates. This week I had a craigslist adventure tracking down a super fun score. After a little negotiating down and a little giving in, I was able to nab an older version of the Outdoor Riviera Bar (originally from Serena and Lily- I don’t believe they carry the white anymore… View Post
One piece of advice I learned with this bathroom: if you are using gray in a room, you need other warm colors to liven it up.

I was so excited when we built our home to make my pantry my dream pantry!
Perhaps you’re like us, and you don’t have an actual office in your home. We don’t have the need for a full separate office- but we did need a dedicated space to work for small amounts of time, while still being centrally located with the children. I know kitchen desks are supposedly “outdated”, but for us it was exactly what we wanted!
My kids have been begging to decorate for Halloween since I accidentally roamed the Target aisle in September and had to decorate our mantel early! I did hold off on pulling the Halloween bin down from the attic until last week, and the kids got SO into it. This post is picture heavy with a tour of all our decor- I hope it gives you inspiration as you decorate for fall in your home! And if nothing else, slap down a pumpkin and a few plastic spiders and call it a day! 😉
Instead of admiring that pretty fall porch across the street this year, pretty up your own porch! It shouldn’t take a lot of money or ‘stuff’ because fall colors pack such a punch- a little goes a long way.
