Looking for home office inspiration? Me too! I’ve been plugging away at switching our dining into a home office for myself (and okay, okay, my husband too).
Last week I shared all my favorite feminine desks and how they looked in home offices. Take a peek at the post if you are desk shopping!
Scroll to the bottom to see a round up of classic, coastal home office inspiration using all pieces that I love.
We are in the midst of the transformation- so this room is far from done and looks a little boring currently. Here is where we are, midway in the process:
I LOVE our slipcovered office chair– if you are looking for home office inspiration this is a chair that plays well with so many different desks! Structured yet casual, comfortable and pretty on the eyes- this chair has it all. It’s a little feminine, and a nice balance with the dark navy walls. I am still considering having another slipcover custom made for his piece – there are some lovely heavy duty fabrics you can choose from. If you are sharing your office with your husband this is a piece that feels feminine but balanced.
We have a cowhide rug arriving this week, and I am switching things around with the art. Of COURSE we are keeping our fav Paris print you see in the photo below- but we are moving it to another room and have a fun collaboration coming with someone very exciting.
Shop The Items In The Room:
I am loving our pretty oak partners desk! Sadly, Wisteria is no longer offering this desk.
The drawers are not connected on both sides, which is nice so it is a true partners desk. (Plus I know my kids would have a field day with drawers like that and I would always be finding little surprises in there). You can float this desk of course- it is equally lovely on both sides.
It’s so important when working on a room to keep the momentum going! Give yourself small goals when life is busy.
I have long term plans for some built in shelving/storage to be added this spring to that back wall. My belongings in here are just laying around on the desk, and not being kept out of little hands. It doesn’t take Mother of the year to forsee this being a problem! Built ins painted white will lighten up the room a little more, too. We are slow going but we will get there!
Home Office Inspiration
Below I have included some pretty, classic home office inspiration. All of these are classic pieces I would buy myself, and coordinate with one another!
How pretty are all these items? This makes me want 5 home offices so I can style them all with these pretty pieces! Only half kidding!

Arin covered her dining room refresh this week, and recommended some modern clean furnishings for your coastal dining room!
