Longer than it’s been trendy on social media, we’ve been doing the work to raise kind humans who don’t stay silent when somebody is hurting. Who look to be inclusive of others. Who have a wide diverse circle of friends.
But we can do better. We are having the hard convos this week! Convos I normally would not involve my kids in. Part of teaching love means acknowledging where you were wrong, and remaining open to learning more.
Let’s have conversations with our kids about what is happening, and keep the convos going so they can do better when it’s their turn to fly out into the world.
If our next generation is to be actively anti racist, compassionate, and united, it’s on us. ❤️ black lives matter #georgefloyd

2. My daughter learned how to make Alexa text me so now she texts me all day long. Mostly stuff like asking me to bring snacks up to her room or that her sister isn’t sharing.😑 ⁣⁣
3. I FINALLY convinced Jose it was not a good use of time to watch every Simpsons episode ever made starting from episode 1. I don’t think he even likes the Simpsons that much? 🤷🏽‍♀️ I saved him like 18 years of his life so, ya know, he owes me big.⁣⁣
