The Girls' Shared Room
Practically since the day Camille was born, Sofia has been asking to share a room with her little sister. I always gave her the “one day” answer… so the day we moved into this house and set up the girls’ room together, it was pretty much Christmas Day for Sofie. She made sure all the moving men knew she was sharing a room with her little sister! We had Camille’s crib in here for a little while, but it was pretty useless because the girls always ended up in the same bed together- sometimes in Camille’s crib, and sometimes Sofie’s little bed. That was why we went with the junior bunk - it has a lower height than a standard bunk so it’s safe for both of them.
As far as how much sleeping they actually do— not a lot. Sometimes we separate them with each in their own bed because they’re playing pretend and making up games late into the night. It’s cute that they have that bond but as a parent it’s frustrating to have them up late, especially since both our boys are solid sleepers. I am still holding out hope they will outgrow this phase of staying up late and carrying on together.
The paint color is Sweet Pastel by Valspar on the bottom two-thirds of the walls, and Extra White by Sherwin Williams on the top third.
Their little shared bathroom too…. I want to do something fun in here (wallpaper or paint? tile? ) but for now, it’s simple and clean.
