A Review of My Favorite Serena and Lily Pieces
*My review is not sponsored in any way by Serena & Lily*
If I could only pick ONE place to buy everything in my home from, (and money was endless 😝) without even skipping a beat I would pick Serena and Lily. Their cool, refined California style-- upscale but totally livable- it makes me want to jump inside their catalogue! Like most good things in life it comes with a price, so I always buy something during their family & friends sale. It is going on now and they are running 20% off everything (code HOMELOVE) through October 15th.
I’ve compiled all my favorite picks at the bottom of the post, but first I am reviewing all the items I own and have in my home!
There are actually not stools, they are like little tables. I wouldn’t give these to my kids as stools. Although adorable, they are tippy. I have stood on them before in a desperate moment to reach something- I don’t recommend! Ha! But I didn’t buy them to be a stool anyways- I wanted these as cute side pieces. Can I say that in reference to furniture? My side piece? 😉 But seriously, they make the BEST side tables. I’m pretty sure you can’t just have one, you need both! Pull them up next to anything to give extra cool factor, and to hold your coffee. Even my Mom liked these, and she is extra traditional in her taste.
If you are lucky enough to have a stand alone tub, it’s practically a crime not to have these stools next to the tub holding your washcloths and looking adorable! It is teak, which means the wood is naturally water resistant.
Their baskets! You guys. So good. Hamper, toy or blanket basket, or just put it down in the room to give it immediate cool factor. We have the solid large and medium- measure first because they are big. We rotate them through our playroom and living room.

I don’t know why I held off on buying this for so long. Right after we bought it we ordered a second because we needed one for the kids upstairs! Again, it’s teak, so great for kitchen and baths. Unlike their pretty dip dyed stools, this one is super sturdy- my husband is not afraid to stand on it to reach our upper cabinets.
I bought and returned 2 sets of backless stools from other stores before I settled on these. We needed 4 all together, so that was 8 stools that were purchased, brought into the home, and then sent back, before these 4. And 4 of those had to be put together. You know my husband was annoyed. 😬 As soon as I took these Serena & Lily stools out of the box I knew they were the ones!
They are great with the kids. We have had them about 2 months. Still in brand new condition. They need to make it for the long haul though. They have been easy to clean, food just wipes off, so I have been very pleased!
Love this simple table I bought during their Tent Sale this summer! I just checked and it is still marked down. It is just the right weight to be sturdy without cumbersome, and a nice size to sit between 2 chairs.
I actually don’t think I dislike anything they make. Seriously! But there are definitely pieces I love more than others. Here is what I am currently loving:
